The organizers say they average more than 65 vendors, which they describe as the largest farmers market in the Monument and Palmer Lake area. That vendor count matters because it is the difference between a market you swing through for tomatoes and one where you can actually knock out breakfast, produce for the week, a gift, and coffee in the same loop.

If you have not been in a few weeks, the practical thing to know is the Saturday parking pattern around Jefferson has not changed, but the walk-in traffic from the Second Street blocks has grown enough that arriving before 9 a.m. is meaningfully easier than arriving at 10.

A useful mental model: the Hometown Market is the reason most locals treat Saturday as the fixed pin in the week, and everything else in the Monument calendar arranges itself around it.

The Ford Amphitheater Calendar Is Doing the Heavy Lifting

• Limbach Park itself, still the default weeknight walk. Front Street parking is easy after 6 p.m. once the Concerts in the Park crowd is gone for the season.

• Papa Bear Pizza for a Friday night with kids in tow. Alaskan starter dough, board games at the tables, made-to-order pies with real dietary flexibility.
• Arlene's Beans at 366 Second Street, Unit D, for the fast, unfussy Mexican lunch. Family cooking, beer and margaritas, open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Worth knowing they are closed Sunday and Monday, which trips up first-time visitors.
• 1979 Coffee Monument for the mid-morning coffee stop before or after the market. The balcony seating is the draw.
• MyHouse Cafe at 582 CO-105 for a breakfast that is easier to get into than the Second Street spots on a market Saturday.
